DEA-Miami Division: Kissimmee Felon Sentenced to More Than 15 Years for Unlawful Possession of Firearms and Ammunition
ORLANDO, Florida, Sept. 19 -- The U.S. Justice Department's Drug Enforcement Administration's Miami Division issued the following news release:
U.S. District Judge Carlos E. Mendoza has sentenced Edward Charlesalton Chappell (41, Kissimmee) to 15 years and 8 months in federal prison for possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon. The court also ordered Chappell to forfeit the firearms and ammunition used in the offense. Chappell pled guilty on June 17, 2024.

Test Wing to Conduct Joint Aircraft Accident Response
EGLIN AFB, Florida, Sept. 19 -- The U.S. Air Force's Eglin Air Force Base issued the following news:
The 96th Test Wing will participate in a joint aircraft mass casualty accident response exercise Sept. 25 requiring General Bond Boulevard to close from 8 a.m. to noon.
