WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency issued the following news release:
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced today that U.S. Army Pvt. 1st Class Clem D. McDuffie, 18, of Hamlet, North Carolina, killed during the Korean War, was accounted for August 26, 2024.
In the winter of 1950, McDuffie was a member of Item Company, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was reported killed in action on Nov. 30

W.Va. U.S. Attorney: North Carolina Man Sentenced to 13 Years in Prison for Federal Drug Crime
BLUEFIELD, West Virginia, Oct. 16 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia issued the following news release on Oct. 15, 2024:
Keith Deshon Adams, 39, of Statesville, North Carolina, was sentenced today to 13 years in prison, to be followed by four years of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute 5 grams or more of methamphetamine and a quantity of fentanyl.
