BLS: Louisiana Feels the Most Impact on Wages During Hurricane Season
WASHINGTON, June 25 -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following article from Economics Daily:
With the beginning of each hurricane season, we update maps and data for hurricane flood zones on the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts. In the third quarter of 2020, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, had the largest percentage of total wages located in hurricane flood zones, at 94.3 percent, followed by Orleans Parish, Louisiana, at 93.5 percent.
