Rep. Carey Introduces Bipartisan Legislation to Prevent Social Security Clawbacks
WASHINGTON, Aug. 24 -- Rep. Mike Carey, R-Ohio, issued the following news release on Aug. 23, 2024:
This week, Representatives Mike Carey (OH-15) and Emilia Sykes (OH-13) introduced the bipartisan "Protecting Americans from Social Security Clawbacks Act" to prevent the Social Security Administration from reducing monthly payments from beneficiaries who received overpayments more than three years prior.
