N.C. U.S. Attorney: Convicted Felon is Sentenced to Prison for Trafficking Fentanyl
ASHEVILLE, North Carolina, Aug. 17 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina issued the following news release on Aug. 16, 2024:
John Edward Bradley, 50, of Cherokee, N.C., was sentenced yesterday to seven years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for trafficking fentanyl, announced Dena J. King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

ASHEVILLE, North Carolina, Aug. 17 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina issued the following news release on Aug. 16, 2024:
Ernest D. Pheasant, Sr., 47, an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI), pleaded guilty today to first-degree murder in Indian Country, announced Dena J. King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. Pheasant entered his guilty plea before U.S. Magistrate Judge W. Carleton Metcalf.
