Manchin Announces $4 Million To Strengthen Healthcare Services, Vision Research In West Virginia
WASHINGTON, June 17 -- Sen. Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia, issued the following news release:
Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $4,056,828 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This funding will increase the healthcare workforce in Beckley and strengthen health services for individuals with HIV/AIDS in Charleston, and support a West Virginia University (WVU) medical research project focused on eyesight.

W.Va. U.S. Attorney: Raleigh County Man Pleads Guilty to Fentanyl Crime
BECKLEY, West Virginia, June 18 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia issued the following news release on June 17, 2024:
Kevin Lemar Legrand, 23, of Beaver, pleaded guilty today to distribution of fentanyl.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on February 16, 2023, Legrand sold approximately 7.2 grams of fentanyl for $600 to a confidential informant. The transaction took place at Legrand's Beaver residence. Legrand admitted to that
