WASHINGTON, July 28 (TNSrep) -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following document from Economics Daily:

Over the year ended June 2023, nonfarm payroll employment increased in 41 states and was essentially unchanged in 9 states and the District of Columbia. The largest percentage increases occurred in Nevada and Texas (+4.0 percent each), followed by New Mexico (+3.8 percent) and Wyoming (+3.7 percent).

WASHINGTON, July 20 -- The U.S. Department of Justice issued the following news release:
An indictment was unsealed yesterday charging a Nevada doctor and his wife with fraudulently obtaining approximately $1.3 million in COVID-19 pandemic relief loans through the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

Nev. U.S. Attorney: California Resident Sentenced to Prison for Committing Unemployment Insurance Benefits Fraud
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, July 26 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada, Jason M. Frierson, issued the following news release on July 25, 2023:
A Stockton, California, resident was sentenced today by United States District Judge Gloria M. Navarro to 27 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for fraudulently using unemployment insurance benefits debit cards in other peoples' names without their authorization to withdraw thousands of dollars.
