WASHINGTON, April 11 -- The Federal Communications Commission's Media Bureau has dismissed applications from Gila River Telecommunications, Inc. (GRTI) for new Low Power FM (LPFM) stations in Stotonic, Blackwater, and Komatke, Arizona. In a decision released Thursday, the FCC cited GRTI's existing ownership of four Low-Power Television (LPTV) stations and its for-profit status as key reasons for denying the applications.
