ST. PAUL, Minnesota, Feb. 15 -- Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minnesota, issued the following proclamation:

WHEREAS: According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, American Indians accounted for 4.24 percent of all reported homicide victims or non-negligent manslaughters in Minnesota in 2024, despite representing only 1.4 percent of the state's population; and
WHEREAS: Last year, 716 Indigenous persons went miss . . .
