WASHINGTON, Jan. 23 -- Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-West Virginia, chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, released the following opening statement from a Jan. 16, 2025, confirmation hearing for Lee Zeldin to be administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency:
