The Justice Department filed a lawsuit (https://www.justice.gov/media/1384601/dl) against Fayette County, Tennessee, alleging that the Board of County Commissioners violated Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act when it adopted a redistricting plan that denies the city's Black voters an equal opportunity to elect candidates of their choice.
