BROOKLYN, New York, Nov. 21 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York issued the following news release:
Earlier today, at the federal courthouse in Brooklyn, Martin Leonel Perez Castro, a senior leader within the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (the FARC), was sentenced by United States District Judge Brian M. Cogan to 252 months in prison for conspiring to distribute cocaine internationally, intending and knowing that the cocaine would be illeg . . .
