MIAMI, Florida, Nov. 6 -- The Miami-Dade County government issued the following news release:
Today, Chairman Oliver G. Gilbert, III successfully led the passage of a landmark ordinance that doubles paid parental leave for Miami-Dade County employees. With this change, more than 30,000 employees are now guaranteed 12 weeks of paid parental leave, giving new parents critical time to bond with their children without financial worry.
