WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- Rep. Andrew Clyde, R-Georgia, issued the following news release on Oct. 30, 2024:
GAINESVILLE, GA -- Today, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) sent a letter to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Col. Jeremy Chapman requesting confirmation that the USACE has completely abandoned any plans to rename Lake Lanier and Buford Dam.
In the letter, Rep. Clyde highlights the importance of keeping these names:
