WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 -- Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-New York, issued the following news release:
Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn - House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) announced that he secured $850,000 for security upgrades at NYCHA's Sumner Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn through the government funding law. The federal funds will be used to upgrade security system components across the complex.
