STILLWATER, Oklahoma, Oct. 10 -- Oklahoma State University issued the following news:
A trip to the grocery store leaves many consumers in sticker shock as food prices continue to rise.
Food prices in the United States rose by 25% from 2019 to 2023, said Dr. Bailey Norwood, professor in the Oklahoma State University Department of Agricultural Economics.
"In the past 20 years, retail food price inflation has been about 2.5% per year," Norwood said. . . .
