WASHINGTON, Oct. 4 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service issued the following news release on Oct. 3, 2024:
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service today announced Sarah Fisher as its national director of Fire and Aviation Management. Fisher will oversee the world's largest wildland fire organization including all aspects of the agency's fire, fuels and aviation programs.
