SACRAMENTO, California, Oct. 2 -- Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-California, issued the following news release on Oct. 1, 2024:
The California Assembly advanced Governor Gavin Newsom's special session proposal to prevent gasoline price spikes.
The Assembly passed ABx2-1, authored by Assemblymembers Gregg Hart and Cecilia Aguiar-Curry. The bill allows the state to require oil refiners to manage a minimum inventory of fuel to avoid supply shortages that create higher gasoline price . . .
