SACRAMENTO, California, Sept. 28 -- Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-California, issued the following news release on Sept. 27, 2024:

Governor Gavin Newsom today announced that he has signed the following bills:

* AB 598 by Assemblymember Buffy Wicks (D-Oakland) - San Francisco Bay Area Regional Housing Finance Act: regional and county expenditure plans.

* AB 653 by Assemblymember Eloise Gomez Reyes (D-Colton) - Public housing authorities: reports.
