Griffith Announces $700,000 ARC Grant to Big Stone Gap

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 -- Rep. Morgan Griffith, R-Virginia, issued the following news release:

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has awarded Big Stone Gap a $700,000 grant. The funding will support infrastructure upgrades at Big Cherry Lake. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:

"Big Cherry Lake reservoir reflects the true beauty and nature of Southwest Virginia.

"This ARC grant for $700,000 helps Big Stone . . .
