WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 -- Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, issued the following news release:

Following the suspension of Rob Malley, the U.S. Special Envoy for Iran, for being a potential counterintelligence threat, Republican Senators demanded an investigation into the Biden-Harris Administration's actions. The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) concluded that the U.S. Department of State mishandled Malley's suspension and violated the Department's protocols and procedures.
