WASHINGTON, Sept. 19 -- Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Michigan, issued the following news release on Sept. 18, 2024:
Today, Representative Jack Bergman spoke in the House Budget Committee about the dangers of the Harris - Biden Administration's attack on pipelines, such as the Keystone XL and Line 5 in Michigan's First District.
Bergman noted that "Line 5's closure would result in higher gas prices for the Midwest region, likely around 20 cents a gallon minimum."
