WASHINGTON, Sept. 18 -- Rep. Jahana Hayes, D-Connecticut, issued the following news release:
Today, the House considered a Continuing Resolution (CR) that included harmful provisions that go against the values of the American people and put countless families at risk.
Specifically, the CR would halt payments of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program by blocking 1 million low-income families from critical resources to afford childcare and other items . . .
