BATON ROUGE, Louisiana, Sept. 18 -- Gov. Jeff Landry, R-Louisiana, issued the following news:
Governor Jeff Landry announced the President has approved his request for a Major Disaster Declaration for the State of Louisiana following Hurricane Francine. This covers Ascension, Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Mary, and Terrebonne Parishes. More parishes may be added as damage is assessed.
