WACO, Texas, Sept. 17 -- The American Football Coaches Association issued the following news:
In a battle of top 20 teams, Arizona took an early 7-0 lead against Kansas State, but the Wildcat defense pitched a shutout the rest of the way. Behind Avery Johnson's 266 yards of total offense, Kansas State won going away, 31-7. The Wildcats moved up one to No. 14 in this week's US LBM Coaches Poll, while Arizona dropped out from their No. 18 spot last week.
