WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 -- Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, issued the following news release:
Almost two months after the presidential election in Venezuela, which resulted in the landslide victory of Edmundo Gonzalez, narco-dictator Nicolas Maduro maintains his illegitimate claim to winning the election. Since the election, the dictator has arbitrarily detained more than 1,650 individuals and continues to repress members of the press, civil society, and members of the opposition.
