WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 -- Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Michigan, issued the following news release on Sept. 10, 2024:
Today, Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) joined congressional leaders at a ceremony to posthumously award the Congressional Gold Medal to the 13 U.S. military service members who were killed during the final days of the Afghanistan withdrawal. McClain was the lead sponsor in the House on the legislation awarding the Medal.
