WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 -- Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-New York, issued the following news release:

Today, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand applauded the Senate's confirmation of Jeannette Vargas to serve as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Senator Gillibrand recommended Ms. Vargas to President Biden in early 2024.
