NEWARK, New Jersey, Sept. 6 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey issued the following news release on Sept. 5, 2024:

A citizen of Peru who was extradited to the United States on narcotics importation conspiracy and attempt charges had his initial appearance today in Newark federal court, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced today.
