BRUSSELS, Belgium, Sept. 5 -- The European Commission issued the following news release on Sept. 4, 2024:

Today, the Commission has endorsed a positive preliminary assessment of Greece's fourth payment request for Euros998.6 million (net of pre-financing) in grants, following the disbursement of Greece's fourth payment request of loans on 23 July 2024, under the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the centrepiece of NextGenerationEU.
