WASHINGTON, Aug. 30 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
Today, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH), chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) awarded a Safer Streets for All grant to five Northwest Ohio communities. The program funds regional and local initiatives through grants to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries.
