WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 -- Sen. Tim Scott, R-South Carolina, issued the following news release:
Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.), member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement on the third anniversary of the fall of Kabul, which marked the start of a two-week series of events that led to the tragic loss of 13 U.S. servicemembers and the Taliban's control of Afghanistan:
"The United States' hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan was a strategic . . .
