WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 -- Sen. Jack Reed, D-Rhode Island, issued the following news release:
In an effort to ensure Rhode Island firefighters have the equipment and training they need to safely and effectively protect and serve their communities, U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse and Congressmen Seth Magaziner and Gabe Amo today announced $3,277,138 in federal grants for fire departments in Warwick, Pawtucket, and Burrillville and the Rhode Island Fire Academy.
