RANDOLPH AFB, Texas, Aug. 7 -- The U.S. Air Force Air Education and Training Command issued the following news:
Fuel is the lifeline for the aircraft at Altus Air Force Base, making missions possible. The 97th Fuels Management Flight is responsible for maintaining a 3.6 million gallon jet fuel inventory and issuing 43 million gallons of fuel annually.
In 2010, Defense Logistics Agency Energy turned off the Altus AFB pipeline and instead began using tank truck contracts . . .
