WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 -- Sen. Katie Britt, R-Alabama, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) today celebrated a $20 million grant award from the U.S. Economic Development Administration's (EDA) Recompete Program to the City of Birmingham. The funding will be utilized to invest in economically distressed communities and connect Alabamians with good jobs.
