WASHINGTON, July 31 -- Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-New Jersey, issued the following news release:
LIVINGSTON, NJ Today, Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill a Navy veteran released the following statement after a federal judge struck down(link is external) New Jersey's ban on AR-15 rifles:
"I am not only a mother of four kids, but also a military veteran and certified expert shot. I was trained with weapons of war and know that AR-15s don't belong on the streets of New Jersey. . . .
