WASHINGTON, July 24 -- Rep. John P. Sarbanes, D-Maryland, issued the following news release:
Today, US Senators Chris Van Hollen and Ben Cardin and Congressmen John Sarbanes, Steny H Hoyer, Dutch Ruppersberger, Kweisi Mfume, Jamie Raskin, David Trone and Glenn Ivey (all D-Md.) announced $10,000,000 in federal funding for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to construct approximately 50 acres of reefs within existing oyster sanctuaries in Maryland's Chesapeake Bay.
