NEWARK, New Jersey, May 31 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey issued the following news release:

An Essex County, New Jersey, man was sentenced today to 144 months in prison for his involvement in two shootings, as well as illegally possessing a handgun and possessing heroin he intended to distribute, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced today.
