DETROIT, Michigan, May 31 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan issued the following news release:
An Allen Park resident was sentenced today for defrauding the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (MUIA) out of approximately $512,000 as part of a pandemic unemployment insurance fraud scheme, announced United States Attorney Dawn N. Ison. Niebel was also sentenced to a three-year term of supervised release and ordered to pay $512,000 in restitutio . . .
