WASHINGTON, May 2 -- Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nevada, issued the following news release:
This week, Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) filed her Combating Illicit Xylazine Act as an amendment to the must-pass Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act of 2024. This bill, which would list xylazine as a Schedule III controlled substance while protecting the drug's licit use by veterinarians, is supported by over 115 bipartisan members of Congress.
