WASHINGTON, April 26 -- The Climate Justice Alliance issued the following news release on April 25, 2024:
This morning, the Biden Administration's Environmental Protection Agency issued new rules requiring coal-burning power plants in the United States to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2039. The E.P.A. also imposed additional regulations on coal-burning power plants including stricter limits on mercury emissions from lignite coal plants, as well as more tightly restrictin . . .
