COLUMBIA, South Carolina, March 2 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina issued the following news release:
Derrick Maurice Simpson, 33, of North Charleston, was sentenced to 28 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
Evidence presented to the court showed that beginning in 2020, Simpson arranged shipments of kilograms of cocaine from Harlingen, Texas to various locations throughout the Charleston . . .
