TRENTON, New Jersey, Feb. 3 -- Gov. Phil Murphy, D-New Jersey, issued the following news release on Feb. 2, 2024:
Governor Phil Murphy today signed Executive Order No. 353, ordering U.S. and New Jersey flags to fly at half-staff on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in honor of United States Army Reserve Sergeant William Jerome Rivers. A Willingboro native, Rivers was among the three U.S. Army soldiers killed in a terrorist attack at a Jordan military base on Sunday, January 28.
