WASHINGTON, Feb. 1 -- Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
On Wednesday, I voted against H.R. 7024. I have long supported many of the pro-growth tax provisions extended by this bill and believe they will incentivize investment that will create jobs, strengthen the economy, and help America compete globally.
However, I cannot support a $33 billion expansion of the Child Tax Credit when the vast majority of that expansion will take the form of cash . . .
