OLYMPIA, Washington, Jan. 26 -- The Washington House Democrats issued the following news release:
In 2017, the Utah Legislature passed a bill that lowered the blood alcohol content (BAC) from 0.08 to 0.05. It was the first state in the nation to do so. Now, Washington wants to follow suit, with a bill (House Bill 2196) sponsored by Rep. Brandy Donaghy (D-Mill Creek).
