WASHINGTON, Jan. 23 -- Rep. Michael T. McCaul, R-Texas, issued the following news release on Jan. 22, 2024:
This week, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas), Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa), and 161 of their colleagues introduced the Death Tax Repeal Act. This legislation would permanently repeal the death tax, which imposes an unfair and costly tax on the transfer of property, land, and other assets from a deceased family member to heirs of family farms and small businesses.
