LAS VEGAS, Nevada, Jan. 18 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada issued the following news release on Jan. 17, 2024:
A Nevada man was sentenced Tuesday to three years in prison for willfully aiding and assisting the filing of false tax returns, in connection with a scheme to sell purported investment opportunities to clients that he falsely claimed would entitle them to IRS tax deductions.
