WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 -- The U.S. Department of Defense issued the following news release:
The Navy will commission the newest Virginia-class fast-attack submarine, the future USS Hyman G. Rickover (SSN 795), during a 10 a.m. EST ceremony Saturday, Oct. 14, at Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Connecticut.
Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro will deliver the principal address. Additional speakers include Adm. James F. Caldwell, director, Naval Nuclear Propulsi . . .
