IRVING, Texas, Oct. 5 -- The Big 12 Conference, a college athletic conference, issued the following news:
A total of 541 student-athletes have been named to the 2022-23 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, which honors conference competitors who are new, including freshmen, at their respective league institution.
Texas led the way with 84 honorees, while Kansas followed with 74.
A total of 79 student-athletes were nominated with 4.00 grade point averages.
