DETROIT, Michigan, Aug. 24 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, Dawn N. Ison, issued the following news release on Aug. 23, 2023:
Richard Sollars, 49, pleaded guilty today to conspiracy to commit bribery and wire fraud, announced United States Attorney Dawn N. Ison. The charges were in connection with the City of Taylor's Right of First Refusal ("ROFR") Program and also involved a scheme to defraud donors to Sollars' election campaign account by fraud . . .
